Taste Food Limited is a local Hong Kong store in Tsuen Wan. It specializes in its fish soup and its cooked fish.
The store is always crowded, the seats inside filled to the brim. Getting inside, you may be seated with other people as they will just fit you in whatever table has seats.

After ordering, the food comes rather quickly. There are many different options you can choose from – rice in soup with a side dish, noodles in soup with a side dish, vegetables, etc. With the side dishes, there are different types, such as deep fried fish with eggs (多春魚), pipa tofu (琵琶豆腐), pan-fried pork chops, and fried fish cake (炸魚餅).
How do you get there?
If you decide to take the MTR, take it to the Tsuen Wan MTR station. From there, exit from the A1 exit and this store is around a 5 minute’s walk away from the station.
However, if you decide to take a taxi, the place to tell the taxi driver would be to go to Lo Tak Court. There is a small, open-spaced parking lot to the left of the restaurant, which would usually be where they would let you off. From there, the restaurant shouldn’t be hard to locate as its sign is quite big.
Here are some of the highlights:
I ordered rice, vegetables, and pipa tofu in fish soup. There is quite a big portion as it is a big bowl.
1. The Soup
The soup is a rich, aromatic fish soup. I can tell that the soup is made fresh every day, and it has a really nice taste to it.
2. The Rice & Vegetables
The rice in the soup is soft and goes well with the soup. It balances out the strong taste of the soup and every bite is a flavorful one.
The vegetables are baby Chinese cabbage (娃娃菜), and they go well with the soup as well. They add a fresh taste to the whole meal.

3. Pipa Tofu
The pipa tofu is made of fish and tofu. The inside of it is soft and flavorful. It adds on to the flavor of the whole meal and it is a really good side dish to pair with the soup and rice.
Is it worth it?
Yes, I think it is. The whole meal was around 48HKD, and varies (but not much) depending on what you order, which isn’t too bad for a full meal in Hong Kong. The food here is delicious and is probably has some of the best fish soup I’ve ever had. It really is a great restaurant and I highly recommending trying it out.
